Don't say it

As far back as I can remember, I have always been taught NEVER to say I hated anyone. It didn't matter how awful they treated me, what a mean person they were, or how terrible they acted. I can only remember one instance when I told my mom that I hated her, and believe me that was the last time I ever said that phrase. The taste of soap in my mouth wasn't something I wanted to experience again. I never have grown into the habit of telling someone I hated them. Hate is a very strong word.

But, love also is also a strong word and I use it very single day to some family member or friend. Using love shouldn't be as carefree and thrown around as a lot of people in my generation use it. It drives me bonkers when people who have been dating for a very short period of time say they love each other. Love is developed and special, not a generic catch all phrase. When we start using it for everything it begins to loose its meaning and not be as important.
