Miracles Happen

As I previously stated in an earlier blog, I went out on a limb and joined the tennis team this year. I've absolutely loved everything about it. But, just liking it doesn't mean that I've been winning matches. It seems that for some reason, my lovely doubles partner and I have a pattern. We tie the first couple of games, and then for absolutely no reason at all...start sucking! I was beginning to believe that we would never get out of this terrible habit. However, my fears were blasted away this friday. Lee and I actually won our first match at the JV tennis tournement. We both were thrilled and found it very difficult not to act unsportmen like and do victory dances. Our goal was to at least make it through the first round. Much to our surprise, we won the next two games! This meant by God's grace we were in the championship game! Sadly we barely lost, coming in a close second place. I can honestly say I have never been more thrilled to be the second best.
